Porino's began selling tomato sauce products in 1985. Originally offered in the "Traditional Flavor" as a marinara sauce, Porino's then added "Beef Flavored", "Beef & Pork", "Gardina Fresca", "Cheese Wine & Herb", "Sausage, Peppers & Mushrooms", and "Classic" pasta sauce. These are sold in retail store sizes 15.5 oz. and 26 oz. and in new plastic half gallon and one gallon containers. In addition to its tomato sauces, Porino's also offers a selection of gourmet Italian specialty items including: Hot & Sweet Stuffed Cherry Peppers, Hot Sliced Peppers and Antipasto Salad.

Porino's sauces were originally developed in the kitchens of the West Valley Inn (West Warwick, Rhode Island) and served at their restaurant. Due to product popularity and demand, the owners decided to open a separate business to wholesale the sauces to local businesses and supermarkets. Highly successful in the New England region, Porino's is rapidly expanding into new markets throughout the USA.
